ABOUT ME.

Now, this is a story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down…

Just kidding but now that I have your attention.

Hi, I'm Pearl Ivy, an artist and designer based in London. My creative journey revolves around abstract, bold, and vibrant illustrations, which serve as a visual expression of my influences from art, culture, and music. Inspired by the Pop Art movement, I strive to leave a lasting impression on the world through my passion for the arts in my distinctive style.

My signature style

One question that I often get asked is,

"What are those striking black and white lines?"

Well, let me introduce you to my signature highlights! These captivating lines serve as a spotlight, accentuating the contours of the face and body in my figures.

Interestingly, I stumbled upon this style without any specific intentions. It all began with my illustration series, #BeyondTheGirl, where I paid tribute to my favourite girl bands from the nostalgic 90s/00s era, like TLC and Spice Girls. The use of these lines became a creative experiment, and I loved the result so much that it has now become a distinctive and recognizable element in my artwork. So, whenever you spot those mesmerising black and white lines, know that they are my artistic way of adding depth and highlighting the beauty within my illustrations.
